So as we agreed in the previous post it's gonna be a poem in a week and a song in the week after.
So my first poem is a classic one by "William Blake" called "A Dream".
Once a dream did weave a shade
O'er my angel-guarded bed,
That an emmet lost its way
Where on grass methought I lay.
Troubled, wildered, and forlorn,
Dark, benighted, travel-worn,
Over many a tangle spray,
All heart-broke, I heard her say:
"Oh my children! do they cry,
Do they hear their father sigh?
Now they look abroad to see,
Now return and weep for me."
Pitying, I dropped a tear:
But I saw a glow-worm near,
Who replied, "What wailing wight
Calls the watchman of the night?
"I am set to light the ground,
While the beetle goes his round:
Follow now the beetle's hum;
Little wanderer, hie thee home!"

wow..GREAT!!
U know what..I really enjoy reading poems..and trying to discover the stories behind them..
so..thank u..
You know I had Blake's poem at Uni but I think it was about something like London it was so beautiful ... I really like your poetic sense
Rain Drop:
I like to read them too. The problem is that many of the classic poems like this one have some difficult words or the old words that I will have to use dictionary to understand them!
So you are most welcome :)
Blossom:
He is one of the best poets and I like his style. I use the same style in most of the poems I write.
The poem you are talking about is called "London" and it is great one!
He has a poem called The Blossom, check it ;)
HP
That's true..
I remember my teacher giving me, for the first time, a poem to reflect on..
I hated it at the beginning, but when he tried to tell me the story behind it..I loved it so much..
That was "The Road not Taken" for Robert Frost..
It is an extraordinary poem!
Rain Drop:
That is like the most famous poem in the world! You see it in every book about life and goals and so on! Inspirational!
In normal circumstances I would have chosen it to be the first poem to be posted here but most of my blog readers already know it so I posted a poem that they may not know!
