A Different Kind of Melody

Here is my latest poem. A fantasy mixed with nature.

A Different Kind of Melody

Look at the leaves falling from the trees
Hear to the voice of the naked branches singing loud
Wait for the rain to fall from that lonely wondering cloud
And dance to the beat of a different kind of melody

Smell the freshness of air traveling with the breeze
Fill your mind and senses with the beautiful scene
Lose yourself to the moment so peaceful and serene
And enjoy the beat of a different kind of melody

Raise your hands to the sky; try to catch a moonlight beam
Stare at the eye of the sun, and do not ever blink
Climb over the highest mountain and get close to the brink
Dive in the sky and create your different kind of melody

Close your eyes and drift into a long daydream
Let your imagination takes you to this heavenly place
Swim beyond that shore, kind things are waiting for you to embrace
And there it will be played, a different kind of melody

Yes I was talking to you :P
If you closed your eyes and you got drifted into a beautiful daydream while reading it, then for sure I was talking to you ;)
You know it was an attempt to write about a never land kind of place. If I was not mistaken this poem was inspired after reading the review of the alchamist in amazon after you told me about it :)

Anonymous:
Yes he is old and crazy!

Blossom:
Thanks for the comment and glad that you see it very inspiring. And since you are inspired, let's see your writing talent ;)

Sorry about this poet, but for some reason I couldn't get myself to read this poem.. Don't ask me why as I don't know!!!! but I can say one thing.. I read better poems by you ;)

True Faith said...

I thought so, Because the door of my never land appeared in my office from no where. The sun was smiling, my office plant was
dancing, and I nearly flew like Peter pan.

ClOuDs said...

I must say i am not a good writer ... my writings sucks ...I write cuz I wanna say what I have in my mind , I wanna express myself freely ...I think randomly , my thoughts are not ordered ....the poem insipres me by making me understand things better :P

Thanks for the compliment :S

Namika:
Why can't you read it? And I certainly wanna know what didn't you like in it so I can avoid it in the future if it was a mistake! And of course I can't write always in the same level :)

True Faith:
I think I've said this before and I will say it again now, you can be a good poetess! You have a wild imagination mashallah, wilder than mine :D And you can put the beautiful scenes you see in your mind into beautiful words!

Hopeless Poet said...

Blossom:
You mean crazy old Maurice? :P

Clouds:
Yeah I figured it was that :D
I told it was a part and it was really. It was like a trigger for the idea, then the rest is taken from what I see and read.
Who was mad at Morris? I was not mad and I didn't see any one mad at him! Beside we may respect his opinion but you can't say we must accept his opinions or any other opinions if they were unlogical or stupid!

ciao :D

Hope:
Thanks and it's been ages since your comments graced this blog. So welcome back :)

Jawaher:
Well I studied something unrelated to poetry or literature too and I didn't know I can write until 3 years ago when I was in my last semester in university.
Thanks for the compliment :)

Blossom:
I am not a good writer too! I just write poems in a good way :P
You see my other post how the ideas are jumping from one to another ..I write like kids :P

You are welcome :S
