Goodbye 2004!

Less than 2 days left and we will welcome a new year filling ourselves with dreams and wishes to achieve what we could not in this year; and ultimately hoping for a better world.

But, does everyone dream and hope about a better year? Aren't there some people among us who completely gave up on dreams and lost any kind of hope?
This reminds me of a song that I like so much called "What’s Another Year" for Johnny Logan:

I've been waiting such a long time,
looking out for you
But you're not here
What's another year?
I've been waking such a long time,
reaching out for you
But you're not near
What's another year?
What's another year
For someone who's lost everything that he owns?
What's another year
For someone who's getting used to being alone?
I've been praying such a long time
It's the only way to hide the fear
What's another year?
What's another year
For someone who's lost everything that he owns?
What's another year
For someone who's getting used to being alone?
I've been crying such a long time
With such a lot of pain in every tear
What's another year?
For someone who is getting used to being alone
What's another year?
For someone who is getting used to being alone
What's another year?
For someone who is getting used to being alone

Each one of us will remember this year for personal reasons. Lose of a loved one, a failed love relationship, getting into a love relationship, winning a trophy, achieving some goals, graduation, or failing to do so or anything else. The WORLD will remember it for the Asian Tsunami! Every time I check the news in yahoo main page, the death tool increases every time I refresh the page! I hope next time I check I will see the same number!
Hopes and prayers go for those people who were affected by this tragedy.

See you next year!

As I grow older, I start to acknowledge more and more displeasing things that happen around me. Sometimes I wish I can turn back the hands of time, or even stop time at a certain age when I was a child. Life was just more simpler and I was happier back then. As for now, a new year is not a new year, its just another year. Time keeps evolving and it continues with no boundaries. we just stop time at new years in hope we can change things about ourselves or situations that surround us. Every minute that passes by is a new minute..thats the way it should be

As we grow older, the displeasing things that are happening around us became more like the norm to those who are younger than we are and even those who are our age got drifted with life's temptations. I miss my childhood sometimes too. I miss the innocence that we lost while growing up. The old cartoons' songs that we used to listen to when we were kids always remind me of my childhood. They bring near tears to my eyes.

Thanks for passing by and reading my humble post.
